Although some people will follow you after reading our tweets, the best way to maximize relevant followers is by following other people. This is a manual process - unlike other services, we do our best to stay away from bots and bulk accounts in third-world nations. Instead, we focus on real, relevant profiles written in English. We have nothing against other languages or countries, but target clients in English-speaking countries, so we want our followers to match.
We start by following people who follow you, so that they are less likely to unfollow you. We also follow people who like and retweet our tweets. In addition, we follow other relevant accounts that might be interested in our tweets. Typically, 10-20% of the people we follow will follow us back. We try to keep the number of people we follow equal to, or less than the number of people who follow us. This ratio is very important to maintain a non-spammy profile. Therefore, we also periodically unfollow people who do not follow us back after a few days. Twitter is extremely finnicky about being too aggressive with follows and unfollows. If you do it excessively, they will lock the account, usually for a short period of time, with the worst accounts shut down. We stay well-within their parameters to minimize any risks to your account.
* Our estimate of weekly followers is based on typical results. Although unlikely, your profile may receive fewer followers than expected, as we have no control over the behavior of people on the internet. This can happen for a variety of reasons. A poorly optimized profile is often the culprit, but your industry, services, and website may also be factors. If your industry is small, or if your business model, or website do not appear trustworthy, then people will be less likely to follow us. Back to Top

One way to gain new followers, and to maintain existing followers is by liking and retweeting other people's tweets. This keeps people engaged, and lets others know that we want mutually beneficial relationships.People like others who are willing to give, rather than just taking from others without reciprocity. In addition, if people comment on our tweets, or tag us in theirs, we will like and/or retweet where appropriate. Note that you must have a plan with "conversational tweets" enabled for us to respond to such tweets. Back to Top
We will review your website, Twitter profile, the people you currently follow (if any), and the people who currently follow you (if any). This, in conjunction with your answers to a few basic questions at signup will help us to target relevant followers with content that appeals to them. Back to Top
We will set up automated tweets on your account, so that it is never completely dormant. We do this by linking to the RSS feeds of relevant blogs in your industry, so that tweets with article titles will link to their latest posts will post to your profile. We will do our best to choose the most non-competitive, yet relevant websites in your industry. Over time, we may add or remove feeds to improve the quality of your tweets. While automated tweets are not nearly as good as the custom, scheduled tweets we post, they will keep your followers active and engaged between your most important posts. Back to Top
Many accounts use services that verify users who follow them, by direct-messaging a link to a captcha that must be solved. We will click through all of these notifications and solve the captchas as part of this service. Back to Top
Although spammy followers and bots who follow you will not harm your account directly, they can have a negative impact indirectly. If you get large chunks of followers that look spammy, then it will lower your follow-back ratios, because people will often check to see who’s following you before making a decision. For example, if the top several rows of followers are adult profiles, and profiles written in non-English characters, then it can impact you significantly. For this reason, we spot-check your followers periodically and we’ll block the most obvious spam accounts, so that they no longer show up on your list of followers. Back to Top
We will dig a bit deeper in our account review and audit, to help us understand the competitive landscape better. Using what we uncover, we will recommend images to possibly replace your profile image and header image. If your profile is already branded, then we may recommend modifications to your existing imagery. We will also recommend an optimized bio, designed to make your profile appear more in search, without appearing spammy, to get you a higher ratio of followers among the people who view your profile. Upon approval, we will publish all of the recommended changes. In addition, we will unfollow people who don't follow you back, as well as the most spammy people you may be following. This improves the quality of your profile and increases the likelihood that relevant people will follow you. Back to Top
We will take care of messages about spam-verification captchas to solve. We will also click through obvious automated messages, to save you the hassle. However, we will not reply to direct messages about your business. These can be great leads for potential customers, so it's best for you to answer them directly. We will do our best to notify you when new messages come in that you should answer directly. Keep in mind that if yours is a high volume account, we cannot send notifications for every single message that warrants a reply. We recommend that you log in daily to check messages yourself, particularly around major holidays and events. We just ask that you do not open spam-verification messages, so that we don't miss them when solving captchas on our end. Back to Top
We will scour the web, and your website, to post custom tweets to your profile. These will be optimized with #hashtags and structured in a way that increases the likelihood of engagement. As a general rule, we try to keep your self-promotion to anywhere from 5-50% of the tweets we post, because people will start to ignore your tweets if they're all specific to your goods and services. We tend to post a higher ratio of promotional tweets for websites that have a lot of content, such as ecommerce businesses with lots of products, or content websites that post daily articles. If your website is sparse on content, then we will typically post fewer promotional tweets, as they can get repetitive and will have a negative impact on engagement. Back to Top
You will be able to add events to a calendar when you log into your account. Generally, we require 1-2 weeks advance notice, and 3-4 weeks prior to major holidays. These can be sales and promotions on your website, or other events that are relevant to your customers. We will read each submission and we'll schedule several tweets in advance, so that they go out at optimal times surrounding each event. Note that each account type has a limit to the number of custom events you may add each month. If you are limited to one event per month but post two or more to the calendar, we will publish tweets only about the first event listed. Back to Top
We will respond to comments on our tweets where appropriate, to keep the conversation going. We will also represent you by participating in relevant conversations on Twitter by replying to other people's tweets on interesting topics. Conversations are a great way to pick up new followers, and to establish you as an authority in your space. We do our best to avoid negative comments that produce more enemies than friends, as our goal is to help you to grow your business. This does not mean that friendly debate would be off-limits; sometimes disagreeing with people can create more engagement than agreeing with them all of the time. If the conversation starts to get deep, we’ll notify you to take over. At that point, you’ll want control anyway, to shape your brand’s voice as optimally as possible. Back to Top
